Training at Keele Koryukan is led by Shidoin Alan Richardson. He is an accredited KU instructor and one of the longest practicing KU students in the UK (over 20 years in KU, 35 years in various martial arts). He has also trained and holds Dan grades in "traditional karate" (Shotokan, Niharate) and japanese jujitsu (Dentokan, a  derivative of Hakko ryu). He is also a regular student at other martial arts schools (Japanese & Brazilian jujitsu) to increase his skill set.
